Nothing! Creating a gift list and sending it to your friends and family is completely free of charge.
Not quite - it's free to create and share a gift list with us but we do charge a 5% fee for the service. This fee covers the charges from PayPal to process the credit card transactions against your list and also makes a small contribution to keeping the site running. The fee is taken from the total sales of your list before we transfer your final balance to you.
Not much! Click out our create list link to see for yourself. You will give your list a title and some greeting text, you can upload an image to show on the list if you want - then it's really just telling us when you want your list to close and providing a PayPal account that we can pay your list funds into.
Don't worry, PayPal accounts are very easy to set up, if you've not got one already we provide a link to get one as you create your buyinpieces gift list. Once we pay your final list funds into there then you can transfer the money directly into your normal bank account.
We prefer to pay peoples gift lists out to them using PayPal as the fees are lower (allowing us to keep the charges to you to a minimum) and it means we never store your bank details. However, if you're really not comfortable with this you can use our "contact us" page and we can arrange for lists to be paid by cheque for a small administration fee.
Not at all, we love to see people creating gift lists on behalf of other people. If you want the money paid directly to thp you just need to provide us with the pail address they use for their PayPal account.
No, although they can if they wish to. For our customers convenience we are able to accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa cards as well as direct transfers from peoples PayPal accounts.
Any money that is transfered to Buy in Pieces is kept in a seperate (client) account - that we don't touch. It's your money - not ours! Once the list is finished - it's transfered from our client account to you. The saftey of your money is important to you and us - read our how do I know my money is safe page if you'd like to know a little more
